Oh, first issue here :-).
Your mac needs to support RNDIS (which is a microsoft specification). I've never
tried it but you could try this driver:
http://www.dsitri.de/wiki.php?page=AJZaurusUSB

Good luck and please report if that worked. Thanks.

I downloaded AJZaurus, it does nothing, I have no gui of it, it also didn't add
some
USB ETH or something like that to network... maybe it doesn't support leopard,
i see
that it didn't updated long time...

dice.

I've still not had any luck... I thought this would find
(http://www.dinke.net/blog/en/2009/11/10/htc-hero-usb-tether-on-mac-os-x/)
would lead me to success, but I was not able to complete all of the steps on
the Mac
side (sudo port install openvpn2 failed on me).

Have a look and see if you have any better luck with it.

Thanks for the link Jason.vail I am using usb tethering right now.

Followed this guide,
> (http://www.dinke.net/blog/en/2009/11/10/htc-hero-usb-tether-on-mac-os-x/)
Jason you need to have macports installed to use that command
http://www.macports.org/install.php

It worked for me but not with wired-tether

It worked with Azilink

No success using the RNDIS driver for Mac OS X 10.6. When I connect I am asked
for my phone number, username and password, which doesn't help.

Details in this thread are misleading.

AJZaurusUSB is not a RNDIS driver. See this link:

It works on OS X 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion).

Using Samsung Galaxy Ace with CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread 2.3.7).
