Will Tether Work While Connected To A Wireless Connection On Device?? #65

I've tried the tethering on my HTC Evo View 4g Tablet and it works wonderfully. 
I've tried to use it while connected to a wireless network (Not Using 3g) and 
it give me any internet connection. Is this because i have to use a static ip 
or its just not ready for this feature yet?
