Mysterious O3D volume mounting #108

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Nothing, it will happen on its own

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Here's the problem: When I'm using my computer (at any time), a Growl
notification tells me that a drive has been mounted, named "O3D 0.1.38.1"
or something like that. I notice that I have not plugged in any devices,
and so I conclude that the volume must be virtual. A moment later, the
volume dismounts. I suspect auto-update has something to do with this.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
O3D 0.1.38.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.7

What hardware are you using: graphics card type? motherboard type?
Graphics:
Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 2400
  VRAM (Total): 128 MB
Motherboard: dunno
