Safari tab bar doesn't show up on creating second new tab when trends or beachdemo sample is running #128

Platform:
  Hostname: RohMac-2.local
  Mac OS X Version 10.5.8 (Build 9L30)
  Processor: 2 Intel 2.40 GHz
  RAM: 2048 MB

O3D:
  O3D version: 0.1.40.1 <<<Release>>>

Installed Browsers:
  Safari: 4.0.3 (5531.9)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to sample
http://o3d.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/samples/trends/trends.html in
Safari 4.0 or higher.
2. Rotate globe using mouse for 15-25 seconds.
3. Create a new tab.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
3.1 New tab is created and tab bar is visible.

Actual result:
3.2 Tab bar is not visible.

Note:
 - I guess tab bar becomes invisible because opening second tab makes it
visible (first time) and running this sample may causing tab bar not to
visible properly.

- Creating second, third tabs makes tab bar visible.

trends and the beach demo use 100% of the page. I wonder if that's related.
