O3D installation failed, error code 0x80040905 #187

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on button to install O3D.
2. Installer downloads and starts running
3. O3D Installer dialog box stops with error "Installation failed. Please 
try again. Error code = 0x80040905"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see some sort of message that installation completed. Instead, 
I get the error message shown above.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP SP3, Chrome 4.0.249.4.

What hardware are you using:  graphics card type?  motherboard type?
Graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI
Motherboard: don't know, it's a Dell Precision 390.

Please provide any additional information below.

I can reproduce this issue, Windows XP SP3, Firefox 3.5.5
