The menus are on top of the nav buttons, and I think they should show up over them. It's confusing at first right now when you open the menus.
The default figure items are on top of the nav buttons. I think it should be the other way around.

I had to change the way I was applying the z-index in the first place. Went from css class to the JS used to open and close the window.
