3 months ago @Potomac I believe fsphil is on it. Doing a few tests according to the discord. Hopefully it goes well. Just remember the fl2k levels are very low. So you may need video amplification to get a decent picture. The most easiest way is to use a vhs player or daisy change (hook up) 2 vhs players. So basically you hook up the fl2k to one vhs player's input (being composite or s-video),... Then through the vhs players output... hook it up to another vhsplayer. Depending on the vhs player, you may only need 1. If its still to dark then hook it up 2 another.
(if using s-video & your player doesn't have s-video out... Then a scart adapter (or 2) is needed (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goobay-Composite-S-Video-Adapter-Gold-plated-black/dp/B000L0W3ZE?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A3BS5SYE6VN13M) Not sure if scart has the same quality as s-video... but non the less, its a better option than composite if your vcr hasn't got s-video out tbh.
that's probably the best way that May not cost you money.
Another is to find a video booster on ebay. (it needs to have scart output if there's no s-video. Just make sure its Adjustable otherwise your just using a vhs player). ...Good Luck! The adjustable ones are not very common.
The last but more complicated way is to make one yourself. https://www.labguysworld.com/VideoCookBook_002.htm You need to chose the resistors correctly. Also You may want to make them adjustable... :/ ... Yeah... I guess if you know what your doing and your good with that type of stuff...? It MAY be the better option. But me personally I just hook up a vcr or 2 and it does the job.
Obviously try 1 vcr on its own first before you hook up another. A few vhs players can do the job with the fl2k on its own without another one. If the picture looks fine... Then just stick with the single vhs player. :)

As already discussed with Fsphil it would be interesting if hackTV could generate S-video signal when using a device with a FL2K chip.
I need to have S-video signal generator, to test the S-video input of a USB video capture device, if hackTV could generate S-video then it would be nice.
