Fix: Handle null StreamSpecification #52

Current logic triggers a NullReferenceException when Streaming has not been configured

@samritchie Will do an Equinox release when these PRs have percolated through - ping me if anything needs rebasing etc

Thanks for doing all this - no rush on the nuget release... esp if the build still requires some tweaking -- will have a look shortly
