Since the redis config used was quite old but at the same time we were always installing the latest stable version of redis in the vagrant vm. Now we are installing redis from the package registry which works fine also with the new channels-redis python dependency. @Bartzi
In addition to that I also changed the used box back to ubuntu 18.04 since this is closer to the production version and uses also python 3.6 as far as I know.
