• Is in otihuallaqueh:
  • csubj to amo cualcan "When we came is not a good time", or
  • acl to amo cualcan "It is not a good time, that we come [to]"
  • or something else?

• What is the structure of itla ipan ticholozqueh? Transparently "we will flee from something"?

Etymologically I suppose so, though I think it behaves adverbially

I vote for csubj here. The acl analysis might make more sense if the meaning were, e.g. "the time (that) we came was not good". But since cualcan is a single word, "good-time", I think the interpretation of this is more like "When we came was not a good-time".

this is my take. choloa is intransitive, so the something from which we flee is introduced by a reln.
