fyi, the Homebase is already a siren....its the floodlights im using as sirens
The sirene was working as expected few weeks ago. Not sure if issue in integration or actually any update from HA itself. I run latest version of all (integration 1.3.0/ha 2023.03.6).
Any news ?
one of the great things about this integration is to tie all of Eufys products together which is not possible in their native system,....eg I can arm all my wireless cameras (connected wirelessly to my HB2, but I can also arm the wired cameras as well like my C24 and P24 cameras)
I am also able to use the Eufy Floodlights as external alarm sirens, a big benefit as they are loud...and a huge improvement over the paltry sound given off by the cameras and Homebase themselves
I've noticed there is part of the integration to trigger the alarm for a duration, which itself doesn't seem to work as stated....there is a slider but regardless of where that slider is set, the alarm rings for one session which lasts for about 4 seconds, I've currently gotten around this by creating an automation to repeat this process multiple times (you need to set a 5-second delay in between triggers or it fails to fire more than once)....not perfect, but working for sure....is there something specific that I need to do to get this service to work as expected.
Secondly, if I do have the ability to set the duration or by using my existing workaround, is there a service that can be called to turn off the siren....if it is set for say 5 minutes....but I trigger it in error, can I send a signal to stop the siren...cos at the preset time this doesn't appear to be possible.....but I could be mistaken....
again, as a workaround, I have set a button to kill the automation., so it should stop at the next 5-second pause....this fully disables the automation and then re-enables it a few seconds later
Thanks in advance for all you do and have done....great integration
