Nested panels and shared panels #139

Hi, I understood panels could contain other panels but when i add a new panel I dont get the option to select which panel to add it to. Also, in my panel list (e.g. for a canvas) all panels appear to be listed at the same level. I am trying to create one panel (let's say header) with a logo sub-panel and a clock sub-panel but now i just get 3 panels, one empty, one logo and one clock.

Also, can panels be shared across canvasses? I'd like to create a default header and footer for all canvasses so i only have to edit one when any changes need to be made.

Thanks Arjen

Arjen, I suggest that you check out our getting started video: http://www.displaymonkey.org/dm/documentation/

If should clear up most of your questions.

Thanks Michael,

I have gone over the documentation once again (already had read it several times though) and I have come to the conclusion that you can't nest panels as the coordinates of a new panel are always in relation to the canvas instead of to the parent panel. http://www.displaymonkey.org/dm/documentation/panels/

Not sure why the video does suggest that a "set of panels can consists of one or more panels" @3:26 though, but I'll ignore that.

Thanks Arjen
