GIf that get uploaded not animated #33

anyone know how to fix this? any gifs that are being uploaded only show the first screen and not the animation. seems to be lost in the upload.

Hi, this might be the case should you choose any of the rendering modes - stretch or fit, as the pictures are actually converted on the fly to meet the current rendering mode given the panel size. So this would be a limitation.

You can try one of these things -

1) resize your original GIF, or your panel so as for the dimensions of both to match 2) choose Crop in the frame rendering mode, which will render the picture unchanged and it may appear cropped if the dimensions of the panel and GIF do not match 3) consider video frame in leu of picture frame

Sorry, I take back on the #2 option - the Crop will equally transform the original picture if either of its' dimensions exceeds that of a panel. Otherwise the original image will be used. So use with caution. Similarly, if both picture and panel dimensions match, no transformation occurs and the picture will show as is no matter which render mode is used.
