Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago
I am having a similar issue. It was working the first couple times I used it,
but suddenly, it just won't export anymore.
I attempted using an image, which was when it broke. (Not using the Paste Image
button, because it doesn't work, as stated by another in a different issue).
Now it won't even work with any questions, without images.
The button was only successful three times before it stopped working. I've
tried restarting my computer even, just to see if that would fix it, but it has
not.

Sorry to be a pain. I would email the owners of this, but I can't figure out
how, so I'll just say it all here, since it's related.
Is there any way I can get more information on how all of the pieces on the
project home page are supposed to work together, or at least what the setup.exe
file is supposed to do?
As an update on the user side, I've tried uninstalling the MoodleQuestions
program, only to realize it's what installs when I open the .docm file, and
doesn't seem to fully have anything to do with the setup.exe file.
I saw that you mentioned some code in an issue report involving the Paste Image
button, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to implement that myself, but I would
like to learn how. I had been wondering if it was related to the export button
breaking, since it worked fine till then...but I don't feel like that code is
going to fix the export button as well.
Helping is something I would like to do with fixing this problem, if there is
anything I can do. This tool is important to my school right now, so it would
be great if we could get it working properly. I'm trying everything I can on
the user side, but...I'm limited.

You can try to remove the software that's installed by setup.exe in Add or
Remove Programs. It's normally called "MoodleQuestions".
Then, re-install setup.exe and download the .docm file from the link on the
main page here. See if that fixes your problem.
Otherwise, please upload (attach a file) the document that's giving you
problems.
The technology here is called a "document-level customization" inside of VSTO.
You'll find more details at

Well...I did try that. But when I tried to reinstall it, it wouldnt. I
opened the .docm out of curiousity, and IT popped up with an install
window. When I pressed install, it put the program back in the programs and
features list, and when I used the setup.exe file again, it said it was up
to date instead of throwing errors. This is why I am curious about how it
fits in with everything.
I would upload a file...but anything I create won't export at this point.
As in, I can open the .docm file and add questions to it, the click export
and it wont. I did this on two computers...tried to use the paste picture
button, and did this following. Do you want me to just create some
questions and save THAT and upload it? Do you think it would help? I mean,
it's seriously just the .docm file with question changes. I haven't saved
over it, and I even re-downloaded it fresh from the site today.

Ok, so to help us out, we need to know information. If you say "it wouldnt"
(install), we need to know what kind of error message you got, and please be
specific.
Please upload the .docm file that won't work. Anything detailed is useful.

I found out that the export doesn't work when there is no feedback at the MC
question.
