flash players + display: none + chrome = visible #316

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a flash player in chrome ( v1.0.154.65 )
2. Set its display to none
3. Player is still visible and taking up space

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Player should be invisible and take up no space

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Chrome: 1.0.154.65, swfobject 2.2beta1

Please provide any additional information below.
To work around we created an enclosing div and set that to display:none
instead.

This issue is not SWFObject related.

You might think so but this was only a problem when moving from classic embed
of the
player to using swfobject, hence raising it as an issue. Even if its its just a
case
of documenting that its an issue so others don't waste time trying to figure
out
what the issue is that would be useful IMO.
