I don't find any development activity for quite a while now, so is there any fork that someone is continuing to work on?

There are alternatives like ssh-ident. Honestly I have a hard time figuring out what the difference between all of them is

Okay I have looked a bit more into it and it seems like ssh-ident has a bit different scope then keychain. If you only want to use a single ssh-agent keychain is the way to go
