Title editing #86

Open ghost opened 3 years ago

This could be "user error" but I have tried everything obvious. My collection is not all "intelligently" titled. It would be nice to be able to edit the titles. If this is user error please let me know so I can feel just a little silly and move on with my life :)

What do you mean by title?

I thought about it and now I see two ways to improve it. Since the video title is taken from the file name, then: 1) let users edit the filename directly from the application. 2) create a separate field into which the file name will be copied and save it for each video.

for me the first option is preferable. so the JSON file, which stores information about the video, will have a smaller size and, accordingly, all operations with the video will be a little faster (not critical, the difference will be less than a second).

Once I was already asked to be able to organize files on a computer by the type of how it looks in the application. I'll explain what I mean. For instance it will be possible to organize all videos according to the folder structure "Website" -> "Performer" -> "Video.mp4" or "Performer"->"Website" -> "Video_TAG1_TAG2.mp4".

In both tasks, we need to change the name of the file. Therefore, it would be possible to combine these tasks. And for this I would like to prefer the first option.

Either way works but I agree that #1 is probably a value added for the user anyway. Not like I need files named glcp20a.
