just a small PR to see if the version numbers can be automatically found

looks like rtd failed due to excessive memory. I've seen this happen before so I don't think this is related to the PR

version is appearing as the build number (e.g. 273)

so after a bit of searching I ticked this option in the readthedocs advanced settings

looks like the version number is not getting added but the build number is still being used
