Inventory of IP Cameras/Network Speaker #2647

as discussed on https://t.me/fusioninventory with @g-bougard, I need a way to automatically monitor/inventory IP Cameras (e.g. Arlo) and Network speakers (e.g. Teufel, Songs).

Fusioninventory will detect these devices and put them to unmanaged devices. But to import, non of the standard categories will fit (max. device/network device). So I'm thinking about using genericobjects... but therefore FI needs the possibility to update these assets.

AFAIK non of these devices supports snmp.

And what other ways do you get information about these devices?

ATM this is more a Mindstroming and the suggestion to support generic objects.
