BackSpace hold and Slide Deletion #500

Use Cases

Futo keyboard unique feature

A backspace hold and slide gesture Just like the spacebar Cursor control

Think about it when we are deleting it goes slow and then speeds up and most times it goes over what we want what if we get a highlight of thing we want to delete by holding and sliding left or right and on release it deletes. It'll be more intuitive and a Futo specific feature!

Also backspace hold no slide remains the same maybe😅

The only cons I can think of is

compatability: but using a slightly tweaked version of the cursor control system should help.

And Learnung curve: but a hint at it would mostly do the trick for anyone who uses the spacebar cursor control, which is the majority at this point😇

And the pros am sure intuitiveness and uniqness alone heavily outway the cons.

Natural I understand this is a small Awesome team what you've done already is Amazing! It's understandable if you don't have enough time for this. I do belive this is a feature that could significantly enhance the users' experience and appeal of the FUTO Keyboard... Now i think is the best time to i troduce it to since people just started switching. Just putting the word out there 😁. Have a fun day!

I'm not sure what you're asking, you can already hold and slide the backspace to delete multiple characters or words depending on your settings

I don't even think this would be "futo exclusive" in any way.
Gboard has this feature as well. In fact, I slightly prefer the google way of doing this as it snaps to the words instead of going letter by letter, allowing you to quickly delete entire rows of text.

Im not sure if anyone else feels the same way but having the delete swype snap to the beginning of a word would be a great addition in my opinion.

I had no idea Gboard does it, I mostly use the samsung default keyboard just downloaded and yes i prefer the way it works it's has a learning curve though.

Click delete then instantly swipe left I get it's a necessary evil butt it still feels clunky
