Thanks for the feedback, we tried to resolve this by making comments which are downvoted a lot faded and be on the bottom of the list so they don't get as much exposure.
Was this the case for these comments? Maybe we can add an option where we allow such comments to be fully hidden as a setting?
I'd prefer a blocklist or something like it. I don't want to engage with hateful/negative content so I block it.
I've just came here from a video with comments blown up by an individual with a bunch of racist slurs.
Proposed a blocklist internally and it will come. I just don't have a timeline yet.
Thank you, Koen. I would also prefer blocking functionality to the current feature, which I have disabled because I don't want it to be a popularity contest whether I can see something or not. Also, if I don't like something that much, I don't want to see it at all. I don't want it just "grayed out" and put at the bottom.
Can it also be an entirely local feature that doesn't send any data over the network (possibly unless you specifically opt to do that)?
Also, do you do anything to defend the current system against Sybil attacks?
Thank you for deleting those comments. GitHub really needs blocking/muting functionality too.
Or even just hiding.
I've seen people calling for "TND" and other genocide. As well as other bullshit.
I want this for the Polycentric webapp as well as Grayjay but I can't make an account on the FUTO Gitlab where it is hosted so I can make an issue for it where it belongs instead of here.
