No settings in "Scheduled Jobs" #1

Hi Vitor, I've just installed the extension, but have no settings available on the "Scheduled Jobs" page. Do I have to create the job by hand? Civi doesn't seem to recognise the commands you've given in the documentation.

I'm also not sure of the best way to check whether the extension is running / changing entries. Could you advise as to the order that contacts are updated?

Thanks.

Hello amortphous,

First of all, thank you for using my extension and especially for reporting this issue you are having.

If the extension install went OK there should be a scheduled job already set up on your CiviCRM.

If you go to your Scheduled Jobs page in CiviCRM there should be a job called "Call Contacts.CorrectNameCasesJob API". You can see the following screenshots for reference.

The job is set to run once each day and each run it will checks the capitalisation of 500 contacts. If you wish to modify this value you can press the "Edit" button. You can set the command parameter "contactsToCorrectEachRun" to be any value you desire, you just need to be careful not to overburden your server. I.e. you can set it to scan 1000 contact each day by setting it like contactsToCorrectEachRun=1000

The way this extension work is as follows:

Each time the job run it creates a small report that can seen by pressing the "View Job Log" button on the job description. There it will tell you the number of contact it has corrected, the current offset (i.e. the number of contacts scanned) and the total number of contacts corrected in the last run.

I hope you found this information useful. If you still need some assistance please don't hesitate to email me again.

Kind regards,

Vitor Nobrega
