i tested import of one of your tables into sphinx works great and is trivial
took me two minutes
a) copy table from world
b) put in excel
c) export as cdv file
d) put cvs file into sphinx rat
e) put the table formatting in front
f) make sure you indent the table properly, in emacs this can be done with 4 key strokes. not sure what editor you use.
