Trying with default-jdk

There is no openjdk 7 for Ubuntu 16.04. openjdk 8 is available.

Trying to switch to using default-jdk instead and see how that shakes down

Due to time constraints I'm not bothering to check that this doesn't break Ubuntu 14.04 or CentOS 7
