Big PR ahead, don't panic :-)

Besides the new features, I have been testing it with plex web, ios and chromecast; and works pretty stable. Still has some interrumptions time to time, but less than before.

I did the change for myself, hope can be usefull to you too.

I have split the change in several PR so it is better to understand and follow.

Be aware that I did a major rebase, so if you already got the changes be sure you reset your working copy.

I need to manually merge your changes onto the develop branch as there are a number of big changes in there which haven't made it to the master branch yet, these conflict with the changes from this PR.

I've got this PR manually merged into the feature/my_music branch now, after it's been tested a bit more it will be merged onto the develop branch.
