bug in sms popup - disappearing text messages #325

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.receive text via sms popup - view text on screen via popup
2. hit device "back" button
3. sms message disappears, cannot be found in thread in "text messaging"
application

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the sms message simply disappears when I receive the sms and hit the device's
back button instead of one of the three buttons on the popup

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
newest version, but this problem has always happened, i just didn't know what i
did to make the sms messages disappear. I'm on android 2.3.6 on a droid razr
maxx

Please provide any additional information below.

Auto retrieval has hung, crashed, or otherwise failed. Go into txt msg app,
thread, settings, uncheck notifications, recheck notifications, uncheck auto
retrieval, recheck auto retrieval.

This just started happening to me today. The clock on my phone randomly
switched to 24 hr time and was the wrong time. I fixed that and in the meantime
my incoming messages show up on my screen as a pop up which I can reply to,
however, if I click to go to my inbox conversation they are not there and
neither are my replies! I've restarted my phone, gone through all my settings,
uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it...nothing, still not working :(
....not good!!
