Unable to display MMS contents #399

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upon receiving MMS (media or text), smspopup notifies correctly, click "View
MMS"
2. Message is opened, but there are no contents. Additionally, received MMS
messages will not be listed in SMS/MMS history on phone.
3. Upon receiving additional SMS/MMS, previous MMS will remain in smspopup
"queue". Even after clicking "View MMS"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I have verified my APN/MMS settings (ATT) and MMS functions correctly when I
have "Enable SMS Popup Notifications" disabled/unchecked.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SMS Popup v1.2.4/Nexus 4/Android v4.2.2

Please provide any additional information below.

Have the exact same problem. You send an MMS, it works fine, but when someone
responds to that MMS you cannot view their response. It just doesn't show up.
Ruins the app.

I have almost identical issue, except the MMS does eventually show up with a
standard phone notification sound. Maybe 20 seconds later, maybe a few minutes
later. Also on Nexus like OP.

Once or twice I've gotten the MMS message after a reboot, or hours later.
However, it usually just vanishes. The times I did receive it, I didn't get any
notification, it just magically appeared when I went to go use the messaging
app later.
I've also noticed that if I receive another message after a MMS, I can still
swipe to it, as if the popup hadn't been dismissed. However, I still can't
actually view the MMS after going back to the notification.
The only workaround I've found is to disable SMS Popup, which is generally not
an acceptable option, so I have to make people email pictures to me.
Using a Nexus 4, Android 4.2.2, CM10.
