Screen will turn on even though the "Screen On for Popup" is NOT checked #410

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.receiving the message

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The screen shouldn't go on at all but it does.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.2.4

Please provide any additional information below.
The biggest problem is it kills my LED notification as it stops blinking after 
the screen turns on.
