Messaging:All time force close seen on receiving SMS while in message search screen #446

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open Messaging app - Tap on search key.
2.Type few characters which will display search suggestion list.
3.Receive SMS in notification flange.
4.Select any option from displayed search suggestion list and observe

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected Output:
Force close should not be observed and search result should be successfully 
displayed.
What do I see instead:
"Unfortunately, messaging has stopped" force close is displayed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android Kitkat 4.4.4

Please provide any additional information below.
