Can you let us know how the contribution was made - offline/online? Was it a recurring contribution whose mail was sent, but receipt activity was not updated? Is there a way to replicate it?

This seems to be a case when a postEmailSend()
hook is not being called after an email is sent which could be related to core. If you have steps to replicate this issue, it would be a great help in fixing this.
It happens for every online membership sign up and renewal when this extension is enabled. We don't use recurring contributions on our site.
I turned this extension off about 12 hours ago as it may be the cause of a different problem we have with our site at the moment.
"steps to replicate" - is that for me to replicate or for you?
If for you, then create an online membership sign-up page with a fee and sign up for a membership. (I don't know if the payment processor used could have anything to do with it - we use Eway and a legacy API.)
If you mean can I replicate this on our site, if I turn the extension on it happens with every online sign up or renewal.
Joanne contacted us via redmine #14220 and the issue turned out to be the extra Githubissues.
On our site all the receipt activities coming from our online membership pages are:
without a subject,
without a "with " contact
have status "scheduled" although I know that they are being sent.
Receipts from other online contribution pages have subject, a "with" contact and activity status completed.
