If you do "fwupdmgr refresh --force" and then try to update again, does the same update get offered?

SicLuceatLux commented 1 year ago

yep same

skipperTux commented 1 year ago

Same error, Dell Precision 7560, Fedora 37 with all updates

Same with Fedora 36. Force refreshing doesn't help either.

SicLuceatLux commented 1 year ago

Is it possible that the firmware cap contains a wrong hardwareid? Or only the one for 7760?

CragW commented 1 year ago

@skipperTux the metadata for 1.17.1 has been updated, pl. refresh and check if issue gets resolved.

skymoo commented 1 year ago

That did the trick for me, thanks!

skipperTux commented 1 year ago

@CragW After refreshing the metadata update works on Fedora 37. Thanks!

SicLuceatLux commented 1 year ago

Works for me as well. thx for everyone involved
