Creating alternative versions of FxSound for other operating systems #19

Open doolhoofd opened 11 months ago

doolhoofd commented 11 months ago

A lot of forum users have requested the creation/development of versions of FxSound for other operating systems, such as:

  1. Mac/iOS,
  2. Android,
  3. Linux,
  4. Windows phones;

Besides these, there were also requests for a "portable" version of FxSound, a "sideloadable" version, a VST plugin version, etc..

4. Besides these,

Need an option to disable the installation of asian fonts in the installer.

Please add an Xbox version of the app, we really need it since we can't hear the dialogue clearly in the games.

Due to the different operating systems and their proprietary characteristics and restrictions, app versions of FxSound for Android and iOS, for example, would have to be redesigned into music players or streaming players, and this would require programming efforts extending far beyond mere audio processing. Sorry to disappoint, but at the moment, these projects are simply too daunting for our small team to accomplish.

I dunno about ios but for android it does not seem 100% infeasible, Poweramp for example got the Poweramp equalizer app which is basically the Poweramp equalizer stuff but globally on the system.

also melody, while I understand wanting this on linux you dont have to be rude, fxsound is free now and so we should at least be polite.
