Translucent Label Backgrounds #322

Please provide an option to make the labels background translucent, so that 
they blend better with whatever background we are using: image1.jpg. 

With this option, we could make the highlighted items disappear (in the case of 
the little squares to the left) or blend better: image2.jpg. 

Hope you like the idea and find some time to implement it.
