unable to send a phone number to dialer

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  attempting to send a highlighted phone number.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

expect a populated dialer to open, web page opens instead.

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.  frf843

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

Can you verify have installed the latest Chrome extension and Android 
application?
Can you give me the precise phone number syntax you tried?

There was a bug in an earlier version of the Android app that didn't recognize 
'-' characters. Please try latest build.
