Hi Inge There is no manual for producing sound file for DMR Gateway or any of the other programs. First look at an existing .idx file and look at all of the phrases, letter and numbers that are needed. Create a clean sound file with those inside. Use something like AMBE Tools to convert that file into AMBE, you will need an hardware AMBE conversion dongle for this. Next go through your audio file and find the beginnings of each of your phrases and their lengths in ms. Divide this number by 60ms to find the numbers in to put in your .idx file for the beginning and the length for each phrase. Note that the phrases in the .idx file must remain in English to be usable. You need to then test it and see if your beginning offsets and lengths need changing slightly. It takes me around six hours per voice file. There is no automation to it. What language are you going to coding? Jonathan  G4KLX

Thank you very much for the thorough explanation! I think https://github.com/g4klx/AMBETools is what I meant.

I probably would create a Latvian version, but the very cause for the issue was a question from another ham about reducing the volume of those notifications. I didn't find the appropriate setting in config and figured out one would need to create their own set for that.
