Icom Terminal and Access Point modes in practice #2

I see that README.md now mentions "Icom Terminal and Access Point modes." If I have an ID-4100A in Terminal mode, does this mean that I can use DStarRepeater + ircDDBGateway running on a USB-connected Raspberry Pi (with Internet access) to access reflectors? If so, can I still use the radio user interface to link/unlink as usual?

(Also, I've had great fun playing with DStarRepeater/MMDVMHost on a Zumspot, thanks for all the work!)

In short - yes, provided you have the correct cable.
