How to disable DSTAR logging.... #130

Hi, after the last fix to discover the issue regarding the beeping in dstar, the log file after 1hour reach hundred of MB!! Is it possible myself, if already is usefull for debugging, disable this logging? tnx 73

in the ini file the dstar debug is just set to 0

Just had a look at the sources. Cannot find anything about a log message beginning with "D-Star, space available". Could you please paste the complete log message?

Daniele - when you report issues, can you ensure you copy and paste log messages verbatim? It save a lot of chasing around and guessing what issues you're encountering on our part.

The only debug output I can find that talks about space is in Modem.cpp ...

OK, I've tracked down where these messages are coming from - they're debug messages from the MMDVM/DVMega modem itself in Modem.cpp.....

It looks as though you've got some debugging compiled into the source somehow, or you've not quite disabled it correctly in MMDVM.ini

Can you paste up your MMDVM.ini for me to look at please?

OK, try the ini file below (set FileLevel=2 under [Log] to stop all the debug output)

Incidentally, are you happy with the behaviour of the hang time between overs? I notice you have it set to 10 seconds for RF, but 3 seconds for Network?? This means that for a D-Star QSO, you only have 3 seconds to key up before a DMR QSO could "steal" the repeater (amongst other scenarios!) ...

what do you suggest for the ModeHang ? I leave the default values ........ 73

Mine is set to 10 seconds for both as follows (but I'm thinking of extending them even more) It's down to personal preference ...

ModeHang=10 <--- sets both to 10 seconds if the next two are commented out.

RFModeHang=10

NetModeHang=3

Now that one is puzzling, but nothing to worry about. It comes from the modem. To be honest I think it should be debug level output and not message level ....
