Hi Jonathan, as a regular user of C4FM, MMDVM and APRS systems. I want to tell you if the current icon and comment that appears automatically in the aprs beacons can be modified by a more efficient and characteristic one to facilitate radio communications for the community.

In aprs.fi beacon coments Current example for C4FM repeater mode:

440 MMDVM Voice 438.95000MHz -7.6000MHz

Proposed example for C4FM repeater mode:

438.950MHz tOFF -760 C4FM LOCATOR TEXT 145.625MHz tOFF -060 C4FM LOCATOR TEXT

Proposed example for C4FM node mode:

439.850MHz tOFF C4FM LOCATOR TEXT 144.850MHz tOFF C4FM LOCATOR TEXT And current aprs beacon symbol for this 0W WIRES (Yaesu VOIP) WIRES

This does not makes sense. The position of the repeater/hotspot is independent of the mode, it may also bd D-Star, NXDN, or P25, so saying C4FM on it is incorrect. Remember it is the MMDVM where the MM means multi-mode.
