No repeaters/gateways linked #242

G4KLX Team,

I have tried installing the YSF Reflector software several times on a pi3b with Stretch and on a debian online server but each time all I get in the log is "Starting YSF Reflector - 20201124" followed 2 minutes later by "No repeaters/gateways linked".

I used the automatic install from the YSFRelector.de page and did all the commands it told me. The room shows up on the Pi-Star list as US-JARA-KS (room: 51030). I can connect directly from my radio but it kicks me off after a minute. I cannot connect via Pi-Star. Also, when I'm "connected" via the radio it doesn't show in the log and I cannot hear people if they connect when we tried testing it. Below is a sample of my issue. I also believe there was someone who had a similar problem about a year ago with no resolve. I have also opened my port 42015 in the firewall. The pings get through no issue. I don't believe it's a firewall problem since it gave me the same issues with the online server when it didn't have a firewall or port forwarding.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your used port (42015) reachable via UDP from internet-side? This behavior looks like an firewall blocking or simply ignoring the UDP-traffic.

Kim,

For right now I have figured it as something to do with my firewall and Spectrum internet. I have opened up the firewall through their program but I believe it was not truly opened.

In the meant time I’ve overcome the problem by using an online server as a temporary fix. I’ll be moving this summer and will most likely have a different ISP. I’ll try again then. Thank you!!

Cheers!
