Anytone D868UV Radios #8

Jonathon,

I am a FW beta teaser for Anytone Radio. I am a volunteer and not part of their company. I have been working with Andy CA6JAU on some MMDVM connection issues and he recommended I do this issue request.

Sending DMR-APRS data to BM TG 310999 over my MMDVM Duplex Hotspot while connected to DMR Gateway in the Pi-Star Configuration, my packet data does not get passed to APRS.fi.

If I bypass DMR Gateway and connect directly to a BM Master Server (US 3101, 02, 03 or 08) the APRS data goes through BM and is passed to APRS.fi correctly.

Is there a way you can check this as to why the packet data does not go through when connected to DMR Gateway.

Thanks fo your consideration and hopefully your reply,

Duane Reese N6DMR duane@dmreese.com

This has nothing to do with ircDDBGateway which is for Dstar connectivity

I have d878uv and running dmrgateway with aprs into bramdmeister. It took a while but finally got the rewrite rules right to make it work.

Hi Phil,

Can you expand on this for me. Is this a change to the Gateway rules that you are referencing?
Geoffrey F4FXL responded earlier it was not a Gateway issue, but your reply seems to say some rules were corrected.

Thanks in advance,

The gateway rules I talk about are the user configurable rules like TGRewrite and PCRewrite in the Network sections of the DMRGatewzy accessed via Expert/Full Dmr Edit

Thank you Phil,

Are there any settings you recommend that you could do a screen shot on or a short list? I think it would be good to help others (myself included) to configure things correctly for APRS via the Gateway.

Appreciate in advance.

The dmrgateway handles 6 separate networks and the configuration is interlinked. In order to set the rules, one needs to know what options are required for each network,.

The XLX network is a separate network Network 1 is Brandmeister Network 2 is DMR+ Network 3 is one of Hblink3, DMR2YSF, DMR2NXDN Network 4 is open ( I use TGIF) Network 5 is open

Net 4 and 5 can be set to any one of several networks

The rule set is based on how you want to route traffic to which net, based on Time slot, and/or talkgroup and/or group or private call. A rule set I create for myself may be totally useless for anyone else. I can help you understand the rules and what they do, the rules are different again depending on whether you use the stock gateway or my modified gateway.

Basics TGRewrite0=2,1,2,1,9999 means rf group call on ts2 goes to current network on ts2 tg range 1 to 9999 PCRewrite0=1,74037,2,74037,1 means private call on ts1 tg 74037 will go out on current network on ts2 as 74037 range 1 means only this tg ...... aprs on BM uses this tg PassAllTG=2 sends anything on ts2 not trapped by anorther rule PassAllPC=1 sends anything on ts1 not trapped by another rule. Last two rules can only be used in one network in stock gateway

There are several other rules that I Don't use in my modified gateway
