Update CKEditor to latest version #132

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The CKEditor GetSimple uses is quite old (I presume it is version 3.0.1).
Current CKEditor release is at 3.5.1, released on 31 January 2011. Some
features were added, compatibility and usage issues fixed.

we know this, but there are features that are more important right now. A
poster before sent us an patched version, but the style of it didnt match what
we had before... so i scrapped it until I had more time to dedicate to it.

Where can I find that "patched" version? I might try to adapt current CKEditor
theme to it.

Took a bit longer than I expected, but I modified the original getsimple skin
for CKEditor v3.5.2. It works correctly on latest version of GetSimple, not
tested with IE6 though. In attached archive you'll find modified CKEditor with
new skin included. To test it just replace the old /admin/template/js/ckeditor
directory with new one in archive.

I've fixed a few small issues with styles in new getsimple skin, now buttons
should be correctly aligned in Opera browser and margins are equal to ones used
in earlier version of getsimple skin. New version is attached.

After some headaches, the SVN is finally updated with the new CKEditor. Thanks
Joshas. In the end, it took 12 commits - because Norton AV, Windows 7 and
Tortoise SVN refused to play nice together.

Ugh...
