How do you learn best?
I'm a visual learner, so seeing the code, along with the verbal explanation is critical for me. This combined with hands on practice.
Which resources from this document helped you the most?
Learn Git Branching
How comfortable are you with the workflow (series of steps and git commands) we use to share work and responses? Not totally comfortable yet, but getting there. I will need to run through tutorials again.
Pre-work was very frustrating. The assignment answer keys were not complete, so I felt like I couldn't really learn when I got stuck. Loved the video format in the first half of the modules, but felt like when you got to Developer Tools and beyond, you were dropped off a cliff. More content and context needed. It would have been more helpful to have the exercises relate more closely to the assignments. Felt that they were noise. Steps to accomplish assignments were much more clear in the HTML and CSS modules, and at this point in learning, same approach needed for JS for those of us with zero development experience.
First day of class and the pace was comfortable for me, and hope this continues. Pairing and group work very helpful.
