Possible to add support for original Xbox debug kits?

You could unpack the M8+ kernel, patch it with Titan, and re-pack it with the debug bootchain and it should work just fine on a debug kit. At that point I'm not really sure why you wouldn't just use a $25 retail console, though.

Porting the patches to the final debug BIOS seems a bit silly, even if I were to do it, debug kernels will not boot retail or homebrew executables without additional 'circumvention' patches which fall outside the scope of Titan.

I'm not convinced there is really a meaningful usecase here :-P

I’m wanting to port all 500Gb original Xbox prototype games from project DELAUGE plus misc emulators and stuff. currently the only thing I know is the debug kits only go to 120Gb without patches that is the main reason I’m wanting to do this to a debug kit. I would use a regular Xbox but your patches says it don’t work with PBL at lest the last time I read. And when doing that your only allowed 10Gb free space at lest as what it seems

It's true, recoveries can format up to 120gb drives for debug consoles. This was probably picked based on the addressable limits that LBA28 afforded them (~137gb).

I can look into porting the patches over to a debug kernel at some point, but it's probably going to be pretty low priority. It'll also require some additional research as the partitioning code in debug kernels is a bit more complex (i.e. dynamic) compared to retail where the partitions are totally static.

Thank you it would mean the world to some people that need to use more than 120Gb on a debug kit

I got bios packing failed as far as implementing the titan patch back to the debug bios any idea on how to pack it?

iha3ker1920 commented 2 years ago

Seems like evtool will have nothing to do with a debug bios, is there a specific evtool/modified one that I could use to repack the debug bios with a titan patch?

any update on this case? it's been a wile since I checked the status... the report has not been closed yet so... I've been wondering though how would I patch the boot chain on a debug or at least port the titan patch to a debug bfe to load the debug dash instead of having to use xbmc as main the loading the orignal bfe debug and only have 4Gb to use in total?
