"ed" appended to search when using DuckDuckGo from URL bar

Description

When searching using DuckDuckGo as the default search engine, from the URL bar, and after pressing enter, the string "ed" is appended to the search. For example "my search" becomes "my searched". If searching directly on duckduckgo.com, the issue doesn't appear. If switching to another default engine like Bing, the issue doesn't appear.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Change default search engine to DuckDuckGo
2. Enter a search string in the URL bar
3. Hit enter
