11 years ago i need to merge this in, in order to test that it works with PR7. haven't verified sessiondir creation, but saw it working on @akeshavan's machine.

Don't merge just yet, xml templates are generated according to group (I think, please check!), but stimuli doesn't correspond to group just yet. Also I tested @sasen's pr on this branch, so those commits are merged in this.
