Enabling 10-symbols.conf makes fontconfig prefer Noto Color Emoji for everything (monospace, serif, etc.)

Have the same problem, found a quick fix and posted here: https://github.com/gabrielelana/awesome-terminal-fonts/issues/69#issuecomment-1869117030

I will see if I can take a look at the code and provide a PR if I get some time.
