@drewbailey are you still interested in working to get this merged? I know it's been a while. If so, let me know--It seems like a solid idea but I have some concerns. Thanks

I think there should probably be a way to inherit typhoeus settings but we are getting by without these changes since proxy settings can be set on so many different levels we are just capturing further down the request.
