9 months ago Frankly I don't see the point of doing that, as the AOM format requires tables and figures to be placed at the end of the document. If you want to preview your tables and figures individually, I'd recommend other ways to do so.
But anyways, you'd need to comment out the endfloat and all related lines. Here I take a stab at what you requested. Notice that I do not add any lines, only comment out some of them.

Is there a way I can quickly see what my paper would look like without shunting the figures and tables to the end? I.e., instead of having "Insert table/figure X about here", actually placing the table or figure?
I tried commenting out \usepackage[nolists]{endfloat} but that caused issues downstream. I also tried using
