Hovering over a connector could highlight input #1726

In dealing with tangled messed like this, I find myself "shaking" one step to try and find its input.

It would be amazing if:

hovering over a connector would highlight the connector/input source
Maybe clicking on a step would change the colouring of its inputs to a different shade, I could imagine recursively working up the dataset dependency tree and colouring things a lighter colour the more steps they are from the selected output

JJ and I looked at this while I was at MSI and decided it was more difficult than it would seem. If it worked though it would be a great usability improvement obviously.
