DAY 1

A - Introduction (target time: 60 mins total)

  1. Why are we here
  2. Organizers (30-60 seconds each, who are you are)
  3. Participants (ask to be brief, who you are)
  4. Show project list and briefly describe what the topics are
  5. Github into FOR THIS PROJECT (URL, protocol, with bits of basics)
  6. Ask participants what they want to work on (all)
  7. Add topics to project list (on GitHub), who is working on it
  8. Identify advanced tutorial topics

5 min Biobreak

B - Tutorials (target time: 30 mins total) - overlap with C

  1. [Abbreviated] Galaxy 101 (20 mins) Mallory/Jen - Every else grabs a coffee??
  2. More details about Github - basics/more

C - Breakout groups (target time: 30 mins total) - overlap with B

  1. Should update github based on group conversations during the 30 min

D - Regroup (target time: 5 mins total)

  1. Help people to find groups to work with and have a conversation (orgs should do this!)

E - Advanced work/support

  1. Based on intro (item 6)
    1. GTN - Mallory
    2. Docker GTN - Mallory
    3. Flavors?
    4. Tours?
  2. Small group support for advanced topics

F - Day 1 Wrap up with Code Hack (6pm-ish - for 60+ mins)

  1. Orgs - REACH OUT to people and see how can help make next day better

DAY 2

A - Recap (20-30 mins)

  1. Project groups give summaries
  2. Opportunity to bring up hurdles and facilitate help

B - Continue hacking

C - Day 2 Wrap up

  1. User/Data hack wrap-up (6pm-ish - for 30+ mins)
  2. Where to get help
  3. How to continue
  4. Ongoing collaboration
  5. Present work!!
  6. User & Code Hack wrap-up (6pm-ish - for 60+ mins)
